Derek Trucks

For my first post here,  I'm going old school/new school on you.  Derek Trucks, guitarist that has plenty of rock n roll DNA.  He is the nephew of Butch Trucks, drummer for the original Allman Brothers.   I saw him in concert with Clapton in SLC here few years back, and they played a lot of old Derek and the Dominoes stuff, (hmm,  wonder if he was named Derek after the band?) and in my opinion,  stole the show.   Here is a clip of him when he was 13, playing with the AB band.

Here's another clip, from Claptons 2007 Crossroads Guitar Festival, with his band and wife Susan Tedeschi doing Anyday from the Layla album.

He now has a band with his wife, blues singer, Susan Tedeschi, the Tedeschi Trucks Band.  They've just release an album, Revelator, which is my favorite album purchase for a long while.

This is from Clapton's 2010 Crossroads Festival,  Midnight in Harlem, from the Revelator album.

So, did you listen to the end of the video where they're discussing Bonnie & Delany? If not, go back and listen, then check this out.
